Tontine Fever's Favorite Audition Videos

With the Tontine $10,000 Video Contest due to end on Friday, I want to send out kudos to the five videos that most impressed me personally. Here they are, listed in order of audition number:

#100192 - Rick Henry

Rick's video does a lot of things right. It deftly interweaves serious and lighthearted moments while always keeping your interest. Henry comes off as charismatic and down to earth, yet formidable, the type of person you can see winning it all. Of all the audition videos, his most clearly illustrates what the game means.

#100420 - David Abreu

David's video is short and to the point, and hits all the right beats. His confidence in himself is believable, not feeling artificial or forced like so many others. His video gives the impression that he understands the game at a core level, and most importantly, understands himself.

#100421 - Cristi Rau-Lagos

Cristi to me is the female Rick Henry: a charismatic super-athlete who would not surprise anyone by being the person holding all 15 keys at the end of Tontine. There's a misconception out there that only people with nothing to lose will be willing to play this game. Cristi's video shows that she's definitely not a loser.

#100751 - Chase Francis

Of all 250+ videos submitted for the contest, there's not a single one like Chase's. For that reason alone he makes this list.

#100992 - Branden Wilburn

Branden's video is touching, real and heartfelt. It shows him as the type of competitor you'd want in the game simply because you know it wouldn't be just about the money for him.
